We bought some kadhu at the Panjim Market.
Toast toor dal and mustard seeds with ginger, garlic and curry leaves in a little oil. Add green chilies, toasted cashews and boiled kadhu. Finish with fresh coriander (cilantro) and lime juice.

I bought the record a long time ago in Berkeley and featured the tune on the Beatwalla Burnt Curry Comp I forget who the artist is and the name of the song. The lyrics are great. Some housewife who can't cook and burns up the curry in the kitchen. All this over a Mary J Blidge beat.
